Merry Christmas!

Well just 2 days until Christmas.

Our Walmart has it's parking lot full of last minute shoppers trying to find that last minute "perfect gift"
Trying to find me a prime "close to the door" parking spot ....Only to be cut off at the last second by a young lady.
I growl under my breath then says "Merry Christmas" to her as I make my way to the end of the lot.

The icy wind slashes at my face as I exit the warm vehicle.I try and make my way hastily toward the store's front door before the cold grabs me.The bell ringer rings incessantly at the door, greeting you as you go in to shop "Good Morning ---Merry Christmas" Wouldn't you just like to shoot em? I'm not sure why they bother me so much...I know they are only trying to do a good deed for the less fortunate. In my minds eye I always see the bell person sitting behind the store with a bottle of cheap wine laughing and drinking on my dime. Ahhh the trusting soul in me!

So I make it past the front door only to find a smiling cheerful Greeter with no buggys . How am I supposed to spend what little money I have left if I have no place to carry the goods? I should have grabbed one of the lone buggys in the lot on my way in....If only I had not been in such a hurry to get past the bell ringer.

Here comes a fresh lot of buggys now. "Thanks young man!"

Now I'm off to buy SOME of YOU some PRESENTS!
CHEERS!!

Unemployment

I've spent the better part of the last hour trying to surf through the TX State Government JOB web site trying to find a job.
I can see this is going to be a effort in futility. They need ME to help redesign their web site into a more user friendly one. Where do I sign up for this gravy job?

I'm thinking a career move is in order. As the printing industry is all but dead.
Leaning on a shovel does have a certain appeal.

I am currently working as a fishing/ hunter extraordinaire. I love the work, but the pay sucks :^)
It's really just a long over-due dream of mine to be able to hunt and fish as much as I want.
Nice to be able to live this dream while I'm relatively young(42).

It's a shame that you work all of your young life (no money)only be able to retire (with money) when your too old to enjoy life.

American's work too many hours/days for just a little time off each year(two week vacations)
The Swedes get a whole month off or more each yr as do most European country's. They know how to enjoy life while they still can.

Enjoying the time Off

I've been enjoying the time off hunting deer.
It's amazing to watch mother nature change before your eyes.
The leaves have all mostly changed colors and there is certainly a nip in the air.

Take time to notice the simple changes around you!

Trying to post a picture. Let's see if this works??

This a sunset on the high plains where I was born Plainview,Texas. Not sure if you will be able to see the geese just to the left of the windmill.

TwoEyes Wide Open

Some of you may have wondered why the "TwoEyes2112" handle

TwoEyes that are wide open to all of the sights and sounds that are going on around me. the 2112 is a album from one of my favorite groups Rush.

Life is full of surprises. What is going on in my life currently?
I've just lost my grandmother. She was 84 when she died. Sad to have had to watch her degenerate these last to years. I'm happy for her she is in a better place now. Playing with her little dog Sport.

I've just lost my job of 22yrs. after a plant closure/ consolidation.
I've just moved out of my apartment. Geeze I have a lot of junk that I am unwilling to part with.

My plan for the moment is to hunt and fish until the first of the year. Hopefully a regrouping/new job is in order after the first of the year.

Once again I try to write something worthy of reading.

Uncle Hess

I have found out that my uncle Harry isn't doing well. He is on a oxygen machine to help with his breathing. I hear he is living week by week. Expecting each week to be his last. Sad sad for such a talented individual to succomb to this quality of life.

Harry is a talented artist within several mediums, he is a self taught guitaist that plays wonderfully by ear, and has such a gift of expression with his words. Here is his blog http://wayfareingstranger.blogspot.com/
